Material handling companies Hytrol Conveyor Co. Inc. and Beumer Group today announced a strategic alliance to provide sortation solutions in North and South America.
The alliance, announced today at MODEX 2012 in Atlanta, combines companies with strengths in conveying and high-speed unit sortation, the companie said.
The alliance makes a broad portfolio of automated material handling solutions available to an increasingly expanding range of warehousing and distribution operations through Hytrol's established integrator network, the companies said.
"This alliance offers expanded business value to a wide range of customers in the logistics segment and enhances market access for both Beumer and Hytrol," said Thomas Dalstein, CEO of Beumer, in a press release.
"When you have the opportunity to create an alliance between companies like Hytrol and Beumer, you can offer customers the widest range of sortation technology, supported at the highest level, resulting in unmatched value," added Gregg Goodner, president of Hytrol.
Lance Anderson, sales director at Beumer, said in an interview at MODEX that the alliance will give end users the opportunity to look at a single-source solution for many of their material handling needs. "It gives users an option to work with two great companies together," he said.
