Trucking technology provider CX North America Information Services Inc. (CX North America) has integrated its freight collaboration platform with transport service provider Active Aero Group in a move intended to increase carriers' efficiency by fostering better information flow, the companies said today.
By integrating their technology platforms, the two firms now allow automatic electronic information exchange, Tecumseh, Ont.-based CX North America said. CX North America is the North American subsidiary of Transport Exchange Group Ltd., a U.K.-based freight exchange operator and provider of technology for the transportation industry.
The integration allows load data to move from the Active Aero Group platform into the CX North America solution, and it allows automatic location updates and key shipment notification alerts to move from the CX North America platform to the Active Aero Group system, CX North America said. As a result, carriers, drivers, Active Aero Group, and its customers receive real-time updates such as routes taken, estimated arrival/delivery times, proof-of-delivery (POD) documents, and electronic signatures.
Active Aero Group, a provider of air and ground expedited transport services for the manufacturing industry, was acquired by Roadrunner Transportation Systems Inc. in 2014.
