Bennett International launches transportation logistics firm

Bennett International Group LLC has launched a nonasset-based transportation logistics firm called Boss Engineered Logistics LLC, the company said Thursday.

McDonough, Ga.-based Bennett is a woman-owned, diversified transportation and logistics company. The Atlanta metro-region firm offers a suite of trucking and specialized logistics services—from flatbed and step deck trucking, driveaway, manufactured housing transport, and RV delivery to 3PL/4PL logistics, customs brokerage, and warehousing.

Bennett decided to form Boss Engineered Logistics (BEL) to answer customer demand for neutral third-party logistics (3PL) solutions, the company said.

Also located in McDonough, Ga., BEL now offers brokerage of individual freight shipments for trucking, intermodal, rail, and international freight shipping as well as a suite of managed transportation services. Those managed transportation services include warehouse management, project management, and supply chain services supported by multiple options for transportation management system (TMS) and warehouse management system (WMS) platforms.

"We are seeing a rising demand by customers for 3PLs that are nonasset-biased," BEL President Jim Handoush said in a release. "Many companies today are challenged with a lack of technology, volume buying power, and visibility, and they need flexible options. We are starting the BEL brand to engineer customized solutions that result in the best rates possible, whether it is through Bennett or another vendor."
