Weighing equipment provider Rice Lake Weighing Systems has acquired the Italian manufacturer and distributor Dini Argeo in an effort to expand its presence in the European market, the companies said Monday.
Dini Argeo is a family-owned business based in Modena, Italy, that offers a variety of weighing systems, from mobile weighing products to scales for retail and industrial use. The firm also sells a portfolio of components and software for industrial automation and systems integration.
The Dini Argeo Company Group's four divisions include HELMAC for the retail market, Syntweb for software products, CIBE for metrology, and Selene for electronic engineering.
Rice Lake, Wis.-based Rice Lake Weighing Systems plans to use the acquisition to extend its product offerings, brand awareness, and distribution channels to a global market, focused on markets in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, the company said.
"Dini Argeo has a long-standing reputation of quality in product and service," Rice Lake President Mark Johnson, Jr., said in a release. "These ideals reflect our own and the addition of Dini Argeo to the Rice Lake family will increase our ability to serve the market with advanced weighing solutions."
