More than 50 million households in Japan are enjoying segments of Move It!, the first TV show on logistics. Move It! is produced by AGiLE TV Productions, a division of AGiLE Business Media, publisher of DC Velocity and CSCMP's Supply Chain Quarterly.
Move It!, which premiered in 2012, focuses on the people, processes, and technology that support the U.S. logistics industry. Produced primarily for Web viewing, segments of Move It! are now showing on broadcast television in Japan via NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corp.), the equivalent of PBS in the United States.
Reaching some 128 million viewers, NHK TV's broadcast represents a quantum leap forward in audience reach for Move It!
"We couldn't be more pleased," said Move It! Host, Director, and Executive Producer David Maloney. "While still primarily focused on U.S. logistics and intended for Web-based distribution, Japan public TV's interest shows the widespread interest in the fascinating world of logistics, both globally and among mainstream viewers."
"Our vision for Move It! has always been to reach mainstream viewers as well as logistics professionals. This is obviously a major step forward in that regard," said Producer Gary Master. "We intend to continue looking for new and exciting ways to broaden the distribution and viewership of Move It!"
