Zonar and TMW Systems have integrated their fleet maintenance products to provide maintenance facilities a more automated vehicle maintenance process from data collection to service repair. With the new integration, TMW Systems' TMT Fleet Maintenance software can now access data from two of Zonar's solutions: Electronic Vehicle Inspection Report and V2J High-Definition GPS and Vehicle Diagnostic System.
The Electronic Vehicle Inspection Report (EVIR) system verifies pre- and post-trip inspections. EVIR complies with all U.S. Department of Transportation mandated pre-and post-trip vehicle inspection regulations, as well as Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) equipment inspection requirements. The data from the electronic inspections provides instant reporting and alerting of noted defects.
The V2J High-Definition GPS & Vehicle Diagnostics System combines global positioning system (GPS) capabilities with the real-time delivery of vehicle condition and performance data in one device. This new source of real-time vehicle data allows fleet managers to remotely diagnose possible vehicle maintenance problems and schedule service accordingly. Fleet managers can expedite the service process by creating work orders, prioritizing repairs, scheduling technician time, and ordering parts before the vehicle arrives for service.
