FKI Logistex announces the launch of its new high-speed robotic palletizing solution, which uses multiple robotic arms to achieve palletizing rates that are significantly higher than those reached by typical robotic palletizers. In addition to increased throughput, users can benefit from floor space savings and lower cost of ownership. The new robotic system can be applied to virtually any material handling application that requires high palletizing rates, including food, beverages, and consumer goods.
The robots use servo wrists to rotate packages, instead of the case turning and row pushing found on conventional palletizers. The result is faster, gentler product handling. A high-speed robotic palletizing cell permits four-way orientation of cases. This is suited in an industry trending toward smaller packages and full pallet displays in big-box and club stores. With full control of package-label positioning, customers can easily showcase the same graphics on all four sides of the pallet, or orient bar codes to streamline scanning operations.
FKI designs and manufactures the critical robotic cell components in its high-speed robotic palletizing systems, offering a customizable solution to handle a wide variety of product and layout requirements. FKI's engineers, experienced in both robotic and conventional palletizing, work with customers to determine which solution will handle their products most efficiently.
