Heat King unit for protection of temperature-sensitive cargo

May 1, 2007
No Comments

Thermo King presents the new Heat King unit, its latest product for the protection of temperature-sensitive cargo. The Heat King unit is a powerful, forced air heating unit that works on the same basic principle as a car's heating system. A Tier-II, dieselpowered engine heats liquid coolant in a radiator coil, while a powerful blower forces air across the coil and into the cargo area. The result is safe, efficient, dependable heat inside the trailer or container, no matter how cold it gets outside.

The Heat King unit also features a belt-driven alternator that automatically recharges the unit's battery while the engine is running. To deliver the heat to the entire cargo area, the Heat King features a high-performance blower delivery system. When operating on high speed, the Heat King delivers substantial heat output to protect valuable cargo, even in the coldest of ambient temperatures. When temperatures moderate but remain below the desired product temperature, the blower system's low speed provides the appropriate amount of heat output, which still protects the cargo and also conserves fuel.
