Forte UNS Tergo reach trucks

February 1, 2006
No Comments

The Forte UNS Tergo is the latest model in Atlet Inc.'s UNS Tergo series of reach trucks. Designed and built to withstand the demands of today's high-volume DCs and warehouses, Forte provides a level of performance substantially higher than Atlet's previous UNS model. The Forte's improvements make pallet transport and stacking much quicker. In the new model, driving speed has been increased 16 percent to a maximum of 8.6 miles per hour. With new lift/lower motors, lifting speed has also increased by 20 percent to 137.7 feet per minute. Additionally, mast reach speed has increased 66 percent to 39.3 feet per minute. The masts also have enhanced dampening when lifting and lowering for safer, jerk-free pallet handling.

The vehicles feature lift capacities of 3,000, 3,500, and 4,400 pounds, with standard lift heights over 35 feet. The Forte is also fitted with Atlet's Stability Support System (S3), which controls speed and acceleration to assure truck stability. S3, governed by the Atlet Truck Computer (ATC), also provides an interface between speed and steering sensitivity. The Forte automatically reduces truck function speed in proportion to the lift height, and overrides unsafe maneuvers.
