AIT Worldwide Logistics Expands in China with New Qingdao Office

June 25, 2018
No Comments

ITASCA, ILLINOIS - Global supply chain solutions company AIT Worldwide Logistics has opened a new full-service station in the city of Qingdao on China's eastern seaboard. Located in Shandong province, AIT-Qingdao is the organization's seventh office in China, joining the company's thriving Asia Pacific network.

According to Wilson Lee, AIT's Vice President, Asia Pacific, the new location enhances the company's ability to serve existing customers representing diverse industries such as energy technology, environmental services and industrial building materials. The office also boosts AIT's ability to provide logistics solutions for customers requiring a local representative in Qingdao.

Positioned in a port city on the Yellow Sea and led by a veteran logistics manager with extensive ocean shipping experience, transpacific services are expected to be the leading operational activity for the AIT-Qingdao team. The facility also provides a complete slate of flexible supply chain services including air, intermodal, ground distribution, customs brokerage and warehouse management.

AIT's Executive Vice President Global Operations, Greg Weigel, said, "Opening the new AIT-Qingdao office is an important investment in AIT's Asia Pacific development strategy. This location strengthens the connections to many key customers in the U.S. with our transpacific import service. AIT is thrilled to participate in the vibrant industrial economy of Qingdao, one of China's top 10 GDP growth areas."

The newest AIT office is situated 10 kilometers from Qingdao Port with convenient access to Qingdao International Airport:
