Avery® Industrial Labels Snag Three Top Awards

Avery Products kicks off its entry into the industrial label market by winning New Product and Best Product of the Year awards for its new high-performance labels.

Avery® Industrial Labels Snag Three Top Awards

Avery Products Corporation, the leading manufacturer of printable labels and cards, is proud to announce that three of its newest products have won prestigious awards for New Product of the Year and Best Product. Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) magazine honored both Avery UltraDuty™ GHS Chemical Labels and Avery GHS Wizard Labeling Software with New Product of the Year awards, while the North American Office Products Award (NAOPA) honored Avery Easy Align™ Self-Laminating Labels as Best Product.

Avery UltraDuty GHS Chemical Labels won the OH&S New Product of the Year award for Signage and Identification. The labels are specifically designed to be waterproof and resistant to chemicals, abrasion, sun and extreme temperatures, as well as to help companies become, and stay compliant with the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS) mandated by OSHA. They resist tearing and scuffing, and stand up to frequent use. With high-performance adhesive, the durable labels pass the BS5609 protocol for 90-day seawater immersion.

The free Avery GHS Wizard software took home the New Product of the Year award for Environment Health & Safety Software. The online software at avery.com/GHS lets end users easily customize and print their required GHS-compliant labels on demand. They can take advantage of complimentary ready-to-use templates, or design their own GHS labels step by step, and then print them on Avery UltraDuty GHS Chemical Labels using a standard sheet-fed laser printer or pigment-based inkjet printer. Labels can be customized with a company logo, lot numbers, barcodes or other information, and update as needed.

Now in its eighth year, the OH&S New Product of the Year contest is a significant event for safety manufacturers. A record number of 84 entries were submitted this year in 21 categories.
Both products were recognized during the 2016 National Safety Congress & Expo that took place in Anaheim, Calif., from October 17-19.

Avery Easy Align Self-Laminating Labels won the NAOPA for Best Product in the Core Office Products category. The laminated labels are UV resistant, providing extra protection against exposure to sun and other harsh conditions. They're also water resistant so surfaces can be wiped clean, and they resist scuffing, tearing and smudging, so they remain intact and easy to read. Ideal for use in warehouses, storage areas, worksites and classrooms, their permanent adhesive sticks on a variety of surfaces including plastic, wood, metal, paper, ceramic and glass. The Easy Align design makes it simple to create perfectly laminated labels without bubbles or wrinkles every time - just fold to laminate. Users can easily print customized laminated labels using the no-cost templates and designs at avery.com/print.

NAOPA was created by Office Products International in association with SP Richards. Now in their seventh year, the awards aim to find the best business products and dealer community executives in North America. The vendor winners were announced during SP Richard's ABC and EXPO this summer.
"Avery is extremely honored to have three of its newest products awarded as top products in their categories," said Jenifer Do, Marketing Director for Avery Industrial Labeling Solutions. "We're excited to bring our world-leading label expertise to the industrial arena where we can help companies stay in compliance, while keeping workers safe. We look forward to developing more new, innovative solutions in the future."

All three of the award-winning products are part of the Avery Industrial Labeling Solutions that were created to handle tough jobs and harsh environments. With a wide selection of shapes, sizes and materials to choose from, there's a label for every tough job.
