Interroll to double production capacity in Atlanta

Swiss material handling equipment manufacturer Interroll is expanding in the Americas, with plans to double its production capacity in Atlanta, the company said today.

The firm said it will invest approximately $11 million to build an additional plant near its existing facility in Hiram, Ga., to accommodate market growth. Interroll said it saw double-digit growth in the Americas in 2018.

The project will add 121,500 square feet of space, of which 15,000 square feet will be used as office space, the company said. The project is expected to be complete by the end of 2019.

"We continue to see high demand for Interroll solutions in the Americas," says Richard Keely, executive vice president of the Americas region. "Because of this, we are preparing ourselves by raising capacities in order to ensure fast delivery times for our customers and end users in the years to come."
