DHL relocates Minneapolis-St. Paul operations

Transportation and logistics provider DHL has moved its service center facility in Minneapolis to a more central airport location to accommodate increased e-commerce demand, the company said this month.

Company leaders said the new airport ramp location will allow for earlier deliveries and later pickup cutoff times, improving service for international shippers. The $1.6 million facility features 33,284 square feet of working space, and will employ 100 people and operate 70 vehicles, the company also said.

DHL said it has seen steady growth in the Minneapolis/St. Paul market, with particular growth in the e-commerce and life sciences sectors. DHL is part of global logistics provider Deutsche Post DHL Group, with U.S. headquarters facilities in Plantation, Fla.
