Intermodal shipping technology startup DrayNow Inc. said today it has finished development of a platform that will deliver real-time freight information from carriers to brokers.
Scheduled to be released by the middle of the fourth quarter of 2017, DrayNow Gateway could reduce inefficiencies in intermodal freight exchanges by improving brokers' access to real-time information from their carriers, Pipersville, Penn.-based DrayNow said in a release.
DrayNow Gateway uses geo-mapping data to provide visibility into load location, digital paperwork management, and digital submission of fees and expenses, the company said.
The product expands on the firm's existing DrayNow Marketplace product, adding automated collaboration between brokers and their current carrier base to MarketPlace's platform, a real-time intermodal marketplace that connects brokers with available carriers and connects carriers with loads. Both products improve on manual methods of obtaining data by sending information from carriers to brokers instantly, saving time, gaining faster invoicing, and eliminating errors, the company said.
