The Women In Trucking Association (WIT) has announced the three finalists for its third annual Distinguished Woman in Logistics Award (DWLA), the industry group announced Tuesday.
The candidates are Andra Rush, Karen Duff, and Lacy Starling. WIT will announce the winner on April 7 during the Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA) conference in Las Vegas.
Established to promote the achievements of women employed in the North American transportation industry, the prize highlights the vital roles of leading women in the dynamic and increasingly influential field of commercial transportation and logistics, which encompasses both logistics service providers and motor carriers, according to Plover, Wisc.-based WIT.
Past winners include: Kristy Knichel, president of Knichel Logistics, and Shelley Simpson, executive vice president, chief marketing officer, and president of Integrated Capacity Solutions and Truckload for J.B. Hunt.
