For the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP), helping young people acquire the learning, resources, and skills to be successful in their careers is an important mission. As part of that initiative, CSCMP will present its first-ever track of educational sessions designed specifically for students and supply chain professionals 30 years old and under at its Annual Global Conference 2012. The conference will be held from Sept. 30 to Oct. 3, 2012, in Atlanta.
CSCMP says its "Young Professionals in Supply Chain Management" track was developed to help younger talent advance their careers and bring more value to their organizations. Sessions will include presentations on talent management, career navigation, new technology integration, and negotiation. Each session will be facilitated by one or more industry experts.
Students and young professionals who want to attend the Annual Global Conference qualify for reduced registration rates. The student rate is $330.00 ($295.00 for CSCMP student members). The young professional rate is $1,045; CSCMP associate members (those 30 years of age and under) pay $895.00.
The conference will host more than 3,000 practitioners, educators, and thought leaders from around the world. More than 100 educational sessions are planned as well as a variety of networking opportunities, facility tours, and receptions.
