From Aug. 25-27, the University of Tennessee's Center for Executive Education offers "Introduction to Supply Chain Management," the first of six two-and-a-half day programs in its Integrated Supply Chain Management Certification program. The certification program is aimed at executives and managers who have experience in the traditional business functions (logistics, finance, production, marketing, sales, accounting or engineering), but want to add to their knowledge of how these functions work together within the company and across companies in the supply chain. The introductory course, which presents supply chain management from a strategic perspective, addresses such topics as supply chain challenges, demand management, customer value, forecasting and demand planning, strategic sourcing, globalization, information technology and relationship management.
Tuition for the program is $2,650, which includes meals and lodging.
