The Direct Marketing Association conducts its popular Warehousing Forum on Jan. 29- 30 in Orlando, Fla., and again on Feb. 5-6 in San Francisco. Open to companies with revenues of anywhere from $1 million to $1 billion, the two-day seminars are aimed at anyone managing warehousing activities for catalog or direct marketing businesses, including companies engaged in e-commerce. The course covers planning, facility configuration, slotting and operations. It also includes sessions on benchmarking and performance measurement. Case studies are included in the presentations. The session leader, Bill Kuipers, is a senior partner with Spaide, Kuipers & Co., an operations management and information technology consulting firm. The fees for the course are $1,195 for DMA members and $1,495 for non-members.
