  • Mike Blough has joined Intelligrated as vice president, integrated technologies. His role with the material handling company will be to launch new products and promote new applications and capabilities for existing products. He previously was COO of Burroughs Corp.

    In addition, Intelligrated has promoted David Bach to the position of director-Central Operations. Bach joined Intelligrated just over a year ago as a senior salesman. He will be responsible for growing the company's newly formed Central Operations, covering Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, and West Virginia.
  • Peach State Integrated Technologies has opened a regional office in Grand Rapids, Mich. Peach State, a logistics and engineering firm based in Atlanta, will leverage the new office to focus on sales, engineering, and project management for the parcel and freight market. The office will also support other markets in which Peach State has an established position.
  • DSC Logistics has named Greg Goluska vice president, chief information officer. He brings to the logistics firm 25 years of experience in CIO positions. In his new role, he will lead all IT functions and develop responsive IT solutions for DSC's customers.
  • UPS has promoted David Abney to the post of chief operating officer. Abney also assumes the role of president of UPS Airlines. To replace Abney in his former job, UPS has promoted Alan Gershenhorn to president of UPS International. Gershenhorn previously headed the operations of UPS Supply Chain Solutions in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
  • CEVA Logistics (formerly TNT Logistics) has named John Pattullo chief executive officer. He will join CEVA as soon as he is able to transition from his existing post as COO of the EMEA division of DHL Exel Supply Chain. During the transition, current CEVA CEO Dave Kulik will continue to steer the company.
  • Ozburn-Hessey Logistics has added three managers to its transportation group. Pam Crays joins the company in the new role of vice president of carrier development; Ralph Miller has been hired as business development manager; and Larry Sizemore joins OH Logistics as business development director.
  • Two transportation industry veterans have joined the faculty of the Intermodal Transportation Institute at the University of Denver. Roger Nober, executive vice president, law and secretary of Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corp., will teach the "Transportation Law and Regulation" course in the Master's program. Francis Mulvey, commissioner of the Surface Transportation Board, is also joining the faculty to teach the "Transportation Economics" course. In addition, the institute has named three new members to its board of directors. They are Michael Pigors, senior vice president, air, ground, and freight services for FedEx Express; James Russell Bruner, president and CEO of Maersk Inc.; and Richard Coleman, president and COO of ContainerPort Group.
  • Darrell Krasoski is the new strategic account manager for Advanced Handling Systems. AHS is a design and build material handling systems integrator based in Lakeland, Fla. Krasoski comes to the company from Tompkins Associates.
  • Toyota Material Handling U.S.A. has acquired ProLift Industrial Equipment Co. ProLift is one of Toyota's most successful dealerships. Based in Louisville, Ky., ProLift also has offices in Indianapolis; Evansville, Ind.; Cincinnati; Lexington, Ky.; Dayton, Ohio; and Elkins, W.Va. The new company, Toyota Material Handling Midwest Inc., will continue to do business as ProLift Industrial Equipment, with no change in support or staffing. Toyota says that the purchase assures the company's continued support to its customers in the region.
  • YRC Regional Transportation has appointed Frank Reuwer president of USF Glen Moore. He comes to the company from Total Logistic Control, where he served as executive vice president in charge of developing supply chain solutions. He also previously was president and CEO of USF Logistics. YRC Regional Transportation is made up of the USF Holland, USF Reddaway, USF Glen Moore, and New Penn trucking divisions.
  • TLC (Total Logistic Control) has named Duane Sizemore executive vice president of business development. TLC is a supply chain services company and a unit of SUPERVALU.
  • Clayton Boyce is the new vice president for the office of public affairs at the American Trucking Associations. He most recently was the public affairs officer for the U.S. Department of Transportation's Office of the Inspector General.
