ProLogis, a developer of distribution properties, has leased a new facility near Indianapolis to Ozburn-Hessey Logistics. The 812,000-square-foot building, which is in Plainfield's AirTech industrial park just west of the Indianapolis airport, will be used for third-party distribution services.
In addition, ProLogis is developing a distribution site for tire manufacturer Michelin in the southwestern French city of Poitiers. ProLogis will build a 344,000-square-foot facility on a 79-acre site currently occupied by a closed Michelin manufacturing plant. The DC, which is expected to open late this year, will serve markets in France and nearby European nations.
Verde Corporate Realty Services has expanded its holdings in the U.S.-Mexican border area. The company recently arranged a sale/lease back with Visteon for a 405,433-square-foot facility in Chihuahua, Mexico. The deal with Visteon also provides for the development of an additional 260,000-square-foot facility as a cor- porate office building. Both are in the El Saucito Industrial Park. Verde Realty has also acquired a 101,000-square-foot manufactur- ing site in Monterrey, Mexico, and large land tracts for future devel- opment in El Paso and McAllen, Texas, and Reynosa, Mexico.
