They might be embarrassed, but at least they won't be grounded. Truck drivers whose rundown rigs have been commandeered by the "Chrome Shop Mafia" for a makeover on the TV show "Trick My Truck" will still have wheels. While their trucks are out of commission, the drivers will be able to carry on their business using loaner trucks supplied by Ryder System Inc.
During the show's second season, the Chrome Shop Mafia will take the rigs of 24 chosen truck drivers and customize them, turning the drivers' dreams into reality. Ryder will provide each driver with a replacement truck until the makeover is complete. "These truck makeovers can take anywhere from three to six weeks to complete," says Melanie Moreau, executive producer for CMT, which produces the show. "Thanks to Ryder, these owner/operators will have a dependable truck that will keep them on the road, taking care of business."
