Freight broker and third party logistics provider (3PL) GlobalTranz Enterprises Inc. today said it has acquired the Chicago-based freight broker Global Freight Solutions in a move to expand its market share and drive profitable growth through 2020.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The move marks the third acquisition by Phoenix-based GlobalTranz in 2019 alone, as the company continues to leverage the deep pockets of its corporate owner, the private equity group Providence Equity Partners LLP.
Global Freight Solutions says it has operated for over 25 years and brings to GlobalTranz technology-enabled freight management best practices and a customer service focus. "Today's shippers expect higher-touch service and support combined with differentiated technology and data solutions," Global Freight CEO Dan Supis said in a release. "As their needs evolve, GlobalTranz is there with a full suite of services and solutions necessary to succeed."
