Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks Adds New Tier 4 Final Diesel Pneumatic Tire Forklift to Product Lineup

HOUSTON (April 12, 2016) - Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks, manufacturer of reliable and affordable forklift trucks for hard-working applications, today announced its new 15,500 lb. capacity diesel pneumatic tire forklift truck. Built with a high-performance Perkins® 854F Tier 4 Final diesel engine, the FD701 model offers an 18 percent increase in fuel efficiency along with extended service intervals for greater uptime and less maintenance.

"We're excited to introduce our new FD70N1 forklift series to the market," said Lucas Dumdie, product line manager at Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks. "This new forklift series boasts greater fuel efficiency and performance, making it a great product for cost-conscious customers working in heavy-duty applications."

The new FD70N1 Mitsubishi forklift truck model is designed to work in a wide range of applications, such as lumber, pipe, concrete and steel. Key advantages include:
• Increased Fuel Efficiency With High Performance. The Tier 4 Final Perkins 854F 3.4L turbo-charged four-cylinder engine provides an 18 percent increase in fuel efficiency over the previous generation. Utilizing the fuel saver mode on the FD70N1, which lowers fuel consumption by up to 14% while maintaining up to 95 percent of overall productivity, offers customers an even greater cost savings.
• Tier 4 Final Engine. Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) and Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) aftertreament technology, that meets or exceeds U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Tier 4 Final standards, are built into the new Perkins engine. The aftertreatment technology is maintenance-free for the life of the engine, greatly reducing downtime for maintenance or costly repairs.

• Longer Service Intervals, Reduce Maintenance Time. The engine protection system keeps the FD70N1 operating at high performance levels. Operators are notified of critical factors, such as low vital fluids or if engine maintenance is required. Maintenance is simple and less time consuming due to the forklifts easy-access engine cover and 500-hour extended service intervals.

• Maximized Comfort For Operators. Cowl-mounted three-way hydraulic control valves, a full-suspension seat, elevated exhaust and rubber mounted components for noise and vibration reduction help maximize operator comfort in the FD70N1. Customers can also choose to equip the forklift with additional options, such as a climate-controlled operator cabin or armrest-integrated fingertip controls, based on their application's specific needs.
