Decisiv, which makes technology that connects fleet managers with internal and external service locations, has expanded the unified communication capabilities of its Decisiv Service Management Platform (DSMP). The platform now allows fleets, service locations, mobile workforce personnel, and original equipment manufacturers (OEM) representatives to communicate with each other and access details about vehicle service events either through call centers or on handheld communications devices.
The unified in-context communications capability of the Decisiv Service Management Platform means that all of the people involved in fleet management can access and respond to the same information about a service event at the same time. The platform allows users to receive alerts and send responses on handheld units, with all of the conversation captured in a threaded, date/time stamped attachment.
The DSMP was recently extended to support call centers so OEMs and other road-service vendors can unite customers, technical support staff, and service locations through a single communications channel. The platform can also be extended to include warranty administrators, parts suppliers, and a wide range of third-party vendors.
