Avery Dennison RFID has expanded its RFID inlay product portfolio with the introduction of three new inlays: the AD-430, the AD-630, and the AD-813. These new inlays are compliant with EPC Class 1, Generation 2 standards and ISO-180006-C standards. They are designed to be read across the range of global RFID frequency bands as well as to be seamlessly integrated into labelconverting processes.
The AD-430 inlay fits within a 4- by 1-inch label for supply chain applications. The inlay is suitable for use with RF-friendly metal and liquid contents. The inlay's wide-band characteristics allow it to operate at optimal efficiency over a range of frequencies (860 to 960 MHz), ensuring top performance across the world.
The AD-630 inlay is designed to fit within a 3- by 3-inch or 4- by 6-inch label. Developed for use on retail cases and pallets, the inlay is orientation insensitive, meaning that it can be read in any direction, face-on or edge-on. Its wide-band characteristics also allow it to operate over a wide range of frequencies.
Finally, the AD-813 inlay measures 0.75 inches by 0.75 inches and is sized to fit within a 1- by 1-inch label. This inlay provides edge-on performance in small, item-level applications, such as pharmaceutical pill bottles. It is also suitable for shelf-level product labeling. Designed to perform in both near-field and far-field applications, the AD-813 is available in three versions.
