KSW Microtec AG, a supplier of RFID components, offers its KSW windshield inlay. These RFID inlays are designed to provide users with accurate, efficient, and secure vehicle access into various locations and premises. With a read range of approximately 18 feet and a large memory chip, the inlay can benefit commercial fleet operators and others requiring secure access and safer parking. It is also suited for managing access to corporate parking lots and high-security commercial and industrial areas.
Due to the customized antenna design and an efficient assembly technology, the RFID inlay does not require a foam standoff as other windshield tag designs do. The new inlay was designed especially for the Gen2 chip with an increased 512-bit user memory. Gen2 chip technology allows for multiple tag reads, faster read rates, and greater range for tracking entrances, exits, and traffic patterns within closed environments. In addition, since the KSW label uses passive RFID technology, it offers a more economical alternative to currently available active windshield tags.
