Nissan Forklift's new low-emission Platinum II Series lift trucks are powered by Nissan's own reliable and efficient industrial engines. These engines have been redesigned to incorporate technological advances to increase fuel efficiency and performance. They deliver greatly reduced exhaust emissions that are well below the EPA's requirements established for 2007 and the California Air Resource Board's stringent 2010 emission requirements.
Available in pneumatic-, compact pneumatic-, and cushion-tire models, these vehicles offer new standard and optional features, including electronic hydraulic fingertip controls, an improved engine/transmission protection and warning system, and userfriendly on-board diagnostics. Capacities range from 3,000 to 8,000 pounds. The newest addition to Nissan's family of industrial engines is the QD32 diesel engine, which is available in largercapacity pneumatic Platinum II models.
The Platinum II Series' redesigned K21 and K25 engines feature an all-new Electronic Concentrated Control System (ECCS) for gasoline, LPG, and Dual Fuel use. The ECCS engines incorporate a closed-loop electronic fuel injection system, electronic ignition, automotive type oxygen and mass air flow sensors, and a three-way catalytic muffler, resulting in improved combustion and lower emissions. A new Engine Control Module monitors engine functions and controls the air/fuel ratio, torque, and speed needed to meet the demands of the application. An enhanced engine/transmission protection and warning system automatically reduces engine revolutions in response to excessive heat generation or low oil pressure.
All Platinum II Series lift trucks incorporate Nissan's exclusive Vehicle Control Module to monitor and control several vehicle functions, including the Operator Presence System. This seat-actuated system consists of auto-mast lock, return-to-neutral, and audio and visual warnings. The new LCD display Meter Panel notifies the operator of changing truck conditions via a full range of indicators.
Through the Meter Panel, the plant manager can activate PIN code access, setting five separate passwords for operational access to the forklift to prevent theft, restrict the vehicle use, and monitor operator hours.
