PICK- MAX2

December 1, 2006
No Comments

IPTI Inc. introduces the PICK- MAX2, a redesign of its pick-to-light system. This new version streamlines installation and maintenance and offers a pick face display that reduces operator picking motions and combines pick status indicators to make the process more efficient.

The PICK-MAX2 is built for speed, combining the task complete button and the indicator for one-touch, one-glance operation. Teamed up with IPTI's Watch-Me system, the PICK-MAX2 allows pickers to work in a zoned or zoneless mode, depending upon the application. This approach maximizes capability by 20 to 50 percent while maintaining real-time accountability. The system also features Sense-ME hand sensor technology, which validates picks from the pick face, reducing picking mistakes due to picking from the wrong location, and improves efficiency by eliminating the requirement to press a button after each pick or put.

Measuring only five inches wide, the smaller PICK-MAX2 face allows higher pick densities, thereby maximizing the investment in storage and floor space with no sacrifice in functionality. The indicator light has five colors, allowing multiple pickers per zone or batch picking. The three-color display permits simple segregation of display pick information. The snap-in design makes this pick-to-light system easy to install, reconfigure and maintain. The three conductor BUS is integrated into a durable plastic extrusion to mount to any type of flow rack or static shelving. The contacts on the PICK-MAX2 modules have a self-cleaning wiping design and continually clean themselves with use. Each pick module is also dynamically assigned a unique serial number, eliminating the need to set dip switches on every module or manage factory pre-assigned addresses.

DCV-TV 4: Viewer Contributed
If you're a shipper, it's never good when a rep for an ocean carrier tells you, "You better sit down before you read this."
