CASI-841 checkweighers

December 1, 2006
No Comments

Cornerstone Automation Systems Inc. adds a new product to its line of checkweighers. The CASI-841 is positioned as a low-cost system featuring rapid installation and integration. The new unit allows the user to integrate a checkweigher into an existing line shaft transportation conveyor without having to cut the conveyor and add a motor. The 841 uses the CASI-1100 Checkweigh Controller and Checkweigh Manager software, which provide in-line scale flexibility.

The 841's system interface is easy to use, with a familiar Windows XP interface and voice commands in English, Spanish, French and German. Data logging is provided as a standard offering with Checkweigh Manager in an easy-to-export format.

The CASI-841 incorporates reject logic and a bar-code scanner interface for productive distribution center use. It offers line speeds from 30 to 300 feet per minute and accommodates products up to 36 inches wide and 66 inches long. Products can range in weight up to 100 pounds, and the system has reading accuracy to 0.1 pound. The 841 also offers enterprise real-time visibility of shipping data when the SolidWebReports option is added.

No reads. Unaccounted for boxes. Boxes sent to the wrong place. A logistics nightmare! But this nightmare doesn’t have to come true. SICK’s linear line scan camera is what dreams are made of for your logistics operations. And if you’re worried about motion and vibration from conveyor belts...well, there’s no reason...
