Barrier Fold bi-folding cooler/freezer door

January 1, 2006
No Comments

Rite-Hite Doors unveils its new Barrier Fold bi-folding cooler/freezer door, which combines a highly efficient sealing system with impact resistance, high speed and a small footprint. The Barrier Fold uses Rite-Hite's Thermal Air Sealing System that not only creates a tight, conforming seal at the top of the door frame, but also broadcasts continuous warm air evenly across the door and surrounding floor surfaces to prevent frost and cut maintenance and operating costs. The seal and the efficient high-velocity blower defrost system combine to make the Barrier Fold more energy-efficient than PVC fast door, roll-up door, slow/rigid door and strip curtain technologies, according to the company.

The space-saving Barrier Fold comes in an internal or external freezer door mount configuration as well as a refrigerated cooler door. It accommodates openings ranging from 6 by 8 feet to 10 by 16 feet, and has a very small footprint with a minimal two-foot side clearance and projection off the wall. The Barrier Fold door's high-speed operation (84 inches per second) increases productivity and reduces heat gain in the freezer/cooler.

Ocean Sector Shaping the Next Shipageddon

DCV-TV 4: Viewer Contributed
If you're a shipper, it's never good when a rep for an ocean carrier tells you, "You better sit down before you read this."
