LEADERSHIP CHANGES AT PACE

August 22, 2017
No Comments

There is new leadership at the logistics provider Pace. Charles "Chuck" Moyer has joined the company as president and Pace's former president, Matt Lawrence, will now serve as its CEO/chairman. Casey Crook has been promoted to managing director. He formerly served as Pace's executive vice president and minority shareholder.

"We are excited to bring on an experienced and seasoned executive like Chuck Moyer as president," said CFO Steven Miller. "This will allow our CEO, Matt Lawrence, more time to focus on organizational goals as our visionary business leader. Our managing director, Casey Crook, will be intimately involved in developing strategies to achieve that vision as a trusted leader of operations and will be responsible for the company's performance."

"We believe strongly that Chuck will be able to step in as our president to support the growth of existing customers and new business vertical opportunities and to add to our bottom line," Miller said. "As a leadership team, we are committed to always improving and being an industry frontrunner, and Chuck is the personification of that commitment."

Moyer is a supply chain veteran with 40 years of transportation experience, 33 of them in the same-day/customized logistics sector. He is also a member of the Customized Logistics and Delivery Association (CLDA) board of directors. He has been featured in numerous publications and is a frequent speaker, covering topics relating to transportation management, supply chain and factors that impact same-day and overnight transportation sectors.

Lawrence became president and CEO of Pace in 1999. He has been actively involved in the CLDA and has serves on its board of directors.

Crook joined Pace in 2007 as general manager. In 2013, he became minority shareholder and a member of the Pace board of directors. He will continue to have an active role in operations, developing and strengthening company culture, and will continue to serve on the board.
