SSI Schaefer intros Flexi Shuttle, showcases WAMAS software

Material handling company SSI Schaefer showcased its expanding shuttle portfolio for small load carriers during Modex 2018, introducing its SSI Flexi Shuttle. The single-level shuttle system features storage capacity of up to 110 pounds, thanks to an adjustable-width load handling device. The system is easily adaptable for various storage location sizes and can handle load units with length and width dimensions of up to 33.85 by 26.77 inches. The system's design allows for installation at any position throughout a facility's storage aisles and combines automated storage, buffering, and sequencing in one system.

SSI Schaefer also offered demonstrations of its WAMAS warehouse management software during the show. The system features waveless order picking, designed to save time and improve productivity.
