Murata unveils two new products

Murata Machinery USA Inc. has released the FX Quad mini-load automated storage and retrieval system (AS/RS). The system offers high-density storage and high-throughput operations, and provides flexible handling of one, two, and four cases. It also comes equipped with multiple load handling devices.

Murata has also released Premex SLX, an automated guided vehicle (AGV). It is designed to handle 40- by 48-inch pallets with a load capacity of 2,200 pounds. The AGV uses localization and mapping technology to eliminate the need for a guide path, reflecting plates, or laser guidance. It has a three-wheel drive system so the vehicle can turn in its own footprint.
