Supply chain technology firm JDA Software Group Inc. said Monday it had named former Avnet Inc. executive Kevin Moriarty as executive vice president and chief financial officer (CFO), saying the hire would help JDA continue its growth as a provider of software as a service (SaaS) products.
Moriarty had also held the title of CFO at Avnet, a Phoenix, Ariz.-based distributor of electronic components and embedded solutions and a provider of Industrial Internet of Things (IoT) platforms. In addition, he held senior management positions in finance and accounting at Honeywell International, Inc., Bristol-Myers Squibb, and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
By joining JDA, Moriarty replaces interim CFO Dan Maynard, who has held that position since Marc Levine left the company in December 2017 to join Athena Healthcare, Scottsdale, Ariz.-based JDA said in an emailed statement.
During that transition, JDA has conducted a search for a new CFO with a blend of operational, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and capital markets expertise, the company said in the statement. Maynard will now remain with JDA in the company's finance organization, continuing the work begun in his previous position, JDA's group vice president of tax, the firm said.
