Delta Cargo, the cargo division of Delta Air Lines, said today it has introduced a GPS-enabled service for international shipments that must go on the next flight out.
The service, called "Equation Critical," provides real-time GPS tracking on Delta Cargo's website and moves with the highest priority across Delta's global network, the Atlanta-based airline said. The service does not require pre-booking and shipments can be tendered up to 90 minutes before a flight's departure, Delta said.
Initially, the service will support international shipments originating in Atlanta, Savannah, and London, Delta said. Destinations include Bogota, Colombia; Johannesburg, South Africa; Quito, Ecuador; and Seoul-Incheon, South Korea. Atlanta, Savannah, and London will also accept import shipments under the service, Delta said.
Equation Critical will be rolled out in other international markets subject to customer demand and regulatory approvals, the airline said.
