Less-than-truckload (LTL) carrier YRC Worldwide Inc. said today it has hired Justin Hall, president of a third-party logistics provider (3PL), as its chief customer officer.
Overland Park, Kan.-based YRC did not lay out details of Hall's role other than to say he would be working with the carrier's sales and marketing teams to "create new market opportunities" for the organization. Hall starts June 1, and will report to YRC CEO James Welch, YRC said in a statement.
Hall is currently president of Logistics Planning Services, a St. Paul, Minn.-based 3PL. According to the YRC statement, Hall is a "serial entrepreneur" who has started five logistics companies during his career.
