Want some hands-on experience figuring out how to make better use of the space in your facility? The Warehouse Education and Research Council will conduct a two-day seminar titled "Maximizing Warehouse Space: The Key to Productivity." On the first day of the seminar, participants examine the elements of space planning . On day two, they work in small groups to design a fictional distribution center, making use of the techniques learned the previous day. WERC recommends the seminar to warehouse managers and supervisors, engineers and anyone responsible for warehouse productivity.
The seminar, which will be held at the Radisson Hotel in Princeton, N.J., on July 21 and 22, will be presented by Robert B. Silverman, president of consulting firm Gross & Associates, and M. Geoffrey Sisko, the firm's senior vice president and principal. The fee for the program is $699, which includes course materials, continental breakfasts and lunches. Discounts are available for multiple participants from the same company. WERC offers Continuing Education Units to seminar participants. For additional information, call (630) 990-0001.
