In a bid to rev up efficiency at its Randolph, N .J. , distribution center, the organization officially known as the Girl Scouts of the USA has contracted with ESYNC, a systems integration and consulting services company, to update its conveyor and order-picking operations. In particular, ESYNC will be looking to leverage the wave picking features of the Girl Scouts' warehouse management system—Nx Trend Technology 's Total Warehouse Logistics package—to improve distribution center through put and performance.
"The Girl Scout organization always strives to stay up to date in maximizing technology to service our members," says Kathleen Duncan, vice president of the Girl Scouts' merchandising division."With product demand and order profiles changing, we needed operations professionals with the distribution know-how to help us determine the best course of action. ESYNC understands our needs and has the experience to help us make the right decisions."
