Just because you've put your classroom days behind you doesn't mean your formal education has to end. Logistics and supply chain classes are now as close as your desktop.
The Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) has teamed up with Accenture's Supply Chain Academy to open what it calls CSCMP University. Prospective students can simply go online to register for the self-study courses.
The initial program offers 41 classes, which take from one to four hours to complete. Topics include transportation procurement, finance, supply chain planning, warehousing metrics, and product design. Tuition for the courses, which are offered at three levels (basic, intermediate and advanced), ranges from $79 to $149 for CSCMP members (and a few dollars more for non-members).
To register for the courses, visit www.cscmp.org.
