The art of negotiation is a new workshop topic to launch as part of the Certificate of Achievement in Project Cargo Management training course at the InterContinental Shanghai Expo Hotel from 14-15 March during the Breakbulk China education program.
This module specifically addresses negotiation as a communication and problem-solving process.
Trainer Rodger Hall draws on his university teaching experience to improve negotiation skills for project forwarders through communication to achieve win-win deals.
"Successful negotiation requires understanding of a number of persuasive skills to produce an outcome that both parties are satisfied with and build trust. Covered in this training are negotiation styles, strategies and tactics and active listening to deliver mutual agreement and avoid common mistakes," Mr Hall said.
Training coordinator Kevin Stephens said the course also offered workshop modules included project forwarding case studies, risk management, strategic partnerships, value adding strategies, traffic and logistics functional planning, meeting client expectations, biosecurity, working with brokers, tricks of the trade, and preparing quotations.
Business communication addresses crisis communications, persuasive email, cultural communication, pitching with PowerPoint and how to write winning tenders.
The PPG Certificate of Achievement in Project Cargo Management is ISO accredited and also certified by the Project Management Institute (Arabian Gulf Chapter).
Attractive group training discounts are available for the two-day course that also includes an exhibition hall pass to Breakbulk China.
