T507K rugged tablet computer

Glacier Computer has added the T507K, a 7-inch rugged tablet, to its product line of vehicle and fixed-mount terminals, handhelds, and wearable rugged computers. These tablets provide portable desktop computing both inside and outside the four walls.

The T507K is designed for applications that need a rugged, portable tablet with a smaller display. The 7-inch display provides a suitable compromise for customers requiring more than a phone but less than a notebook.

This new tablet features a sunlight-readable, 7-inch touchscreen. It has been "drop-tested" six feet to concrete. Data collection features include a camera, RFID, and two-dimensional barcode scanner. The T507K is powered by the Intel Atom processor and comes standard with Windows XP or Win 7.

The computer has grip-and-go handles, vibration and shock testing, and both desktop and vehicle cradles.
