Standard-Knapp, a manufacturer of packaging machinery, introduces the 296TS Continuum Tray/Shrink System. Designed for the food and beverage industries, the 296TS model features upgrades to the system's user interface, wrapping wand, and film feed module.
The system has an intuitive graphic operator interface. Its advanced diagnostic program automatically directs the operator to a fault screen when there is a problem and also provides automatic scheduled maintenance alerts. The system's heavy-duty stainlesssteel frame features transparent guarding, which makes the system's parts clearly visible, allowing for easy "walk-by" maintenance.
The shrink-wrapping section of the system features an ondemand film-wrapping wand, which is controlled by a servo motor and sensor. The on-demand wand runs only when needed, eliminating wasteful wear and tear.
Standard-Knapp redesigned the film feed module to include a simple single-pass, error-free film thread system. The film bed has also been outfitted with a clamshell design that can easily be opened and removed for periodic maintenance. Operating at speeds of up to 80 trays per minute, the 296TS Continuum Tray/Shrink System offers servo-driven Zero-Gap infeed technology for balanced, jam-resistant packing lanes. The Zero-Gap technology uses precise geometry and sensors to ensure a continuous supply of containers to the downstream lanes and grouping section.
