Reddwerks has upgraded its Warehouse Performance Management (WPM) software. Reddwerks v3.0 WPM provides the warehouse with one order-filling solution regardless of picking technology. Version 3.0 WPM eliminates the need to have separate software applications for pick-to-light systems, RF bar-code scanning devices, voice-assisted devices, carousel systems, QA stations, print and apply applications, and conveyor controls.
Reddwerks v3.0 WPM allows multi-mode order processing where all of the major systems currently in use can have a seamless workflow to process orders in the most efficient manner possible. For instance, order selectors can pick hot orders using RF bar-code scanning in a pick line with pick-to-light working at the same time.
Reddwerks v3.0 WPM software extends the concept of warehouse order processing to include replenishment of forward inventory and the new "process to ship" functionality. Reddwerks keeps track of orders being processed and inventory levels, and automatically sends alerts to the WMS to move stock out of reserve inventory before it is needed for order picking. For customers who have tight constraints in shipping, Reddwerks can now process orders based on their efficient movement through shipping. If orders must arrive in shipping in a specific sequence, Reddwerks can sequence the processing of orders to ensure that cartons or totes arrive in the proper sequence.
