F5 tablet PC

June 1, 2008
No Comments

Motion Computing, a specialist in mobile computing and wireless communications products, presents its new F5 tablet PC. The F5 is a balance between commercial-grade devices and fully rugged PCs.

The F5 addresses the needs of organizations seeking to reduce the number of devices technicians carry while improving workflow, reducing data collection errors, and ensuring users can communicate with host systems and each other, whether in the field or in an office.

Key features of the F5 include Intel Centrino processor technology with the Intel Core Solo processor. Designed to withstand exposure to dust and moisture, the PC also has a magnesium frame, a View Anywhere outdoor display, a built-in handle, and an easily cleaned protective covering.

The shock-mounted hard drive and combined accelerometer are designed to detect drops and shocks in order to reduce the possibility of data loss. An optional SanDisk 32GB solid-state drive (SSD) provides further durability, reliability, high performance, and power efficiency.

Fully integrated technologies such as a digital camera, RFID, and an optional bar-code scanner improve workflow and increase productivity. Embedded wireless broadband allows continuous data access away from the office. The F5 also comes with Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition and Windows Vista Business.
