Zebra Technologies, a company that provides on-demand printing solutions for business improvement, now makes it easier for customers to get high-quality and reliable printing at a price they can afford. Zebra's new S4M thermal, on-demand, bar-code label printer provides all the features needed to support many labeling applications, including those used in distribution and manufacturing.
Built with a metal enclosure and die-cast frame for long life and reliable performance, the S4M holds 8-inch label rolls, resulting in fewer stoppages to change media. The convenient side-loading mechanism has guides that make it easy for operators to change rolls. The two-line LCD (liquid crystal display) and keypad offer a streamlined menu to change set-up options.
The S4M can process label formats developed for both Zebra's ZPL and EPL printer command languages. It is also available with the ZebraLink Alternate Programming Language to allow it to operate in competitive printing environments. The printer can connect from 10/100 Ethernet, USB, 802.11b wireless, parallel or RS-232 serial for simple system interfaces. The S4M is also compatible with the ZebraNet Print Server II, which enables many advanced configuration, monitoring and management features. The printer supports multiple linear and two-dimensional bar-code symbologies.
