POMONA, NEW YORK, October 11, 2016 -- Cambridge Security Seals (CSS), a global leader in tamper-evident seals and security solutions, has announced the addition of Kris Hedstrom to oversee production and spearhead the company's manufacturing expansion. Hedstrom, who was previously Manager of Design Engineering & Advanced Technology at Maytag Appliances and Director of Engineering and Technology for Polymer Technologies, brings to the company an extensive manufacturing background focused around product and line design, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies.
"The addition to the CSS team of such a recognized manufacturing expert as Kris is further testament to our commitment to our customers and the industry," stated Brian Lyle, President of Cambridge Security Seals. "Kris's broad knowledge, experience, and leadership are the perfect fit for CSS as we continue to expand our production capacity and enhance our industry-leading manufacturing processes."
Cambridge Security Seals is one of America's most rapidly growing private companies, as ranked by Inc. Magazine. CSS credits its customer-centric philosophy and high performance products for its nearly 500% 3-year growth rate.
"I am excited to join CSS and contribute to such an innovative company's demand-driven expansion," declared Hedstrom. "The CSS team of manufacturing and engineering professionals is extraordinary, with a collective product and industry knowledge that truly elevates the company. More than anything else, CSS's commitment to its customers and enhancing their seal procurement experience is something that resonates with me, and inspires me each and every day."
Earlier in his career, Hedstrom served as the Industrial Design Manager at Big Ass Fans and as Global Director of Innovation at CHEP Equipment Pooling Systems.
According to Lyle, "Kris is joining the CSS team at the perfect time, and is the ideal professional to lead the simultaneous expansion and enhancement of our manufacturing capabilities."
