Recent modifications made to Frazier Industrial Co.'s Pallet Mole pallet shuttle device have earned it the Underwriters Laboratory (UL) Certification, indicating that it conforms to all North American standards for electric, safety, and design requirements.
The Pallet Mole is an automated shuttle that runs on rails in deep-lane storage rack systems. It moves underneath pallet loads, transporting them into and out of their storage positions. Workers operate the shuttle using a remote control device.
The recent modifications include an emergency stop button on the front of the shuttle that allows a worker to manually stop the shuttle as well as more simplified wiring systems and standard off-the-shelf components, which make it easier to maintain the unit.
