Buckhorn, a manufacturer of reusable plastic packaging and material handling systems, has introduced its Caliber Series of intermediate bulk containers (IBCs). These collapsible intermediate bulk containers are available in three sizes from 270 gallons to 315 gallons. They are suited for shipping and storing large volumes of processed foods, ingredients, and fluids.
Caliber IBCs are molded of FDA-approved, food-grade plastic and have completely smooth surfaces to satisfy the strictest hygienic standards. They are collapsible and stackable when full or collapsed. Their space-efficient dimensions provide optimal cubing of transport systems, from railcars to truck trailers.
Caliber IBCs utilize a disposable bag liner and feature side and bottom discharge areas for quick, easy emptying. Bulk fluids are kept safe because they are put into a liner of virgin material every time. Because they are reusable, Caliber IBCs offer a green alternative to barrels, cardboard, or wood containers, providing companies with a substantial savings on disposal costs.
Reinforced corners and locking sides provide durability for handling under any conditions. The containers feature four-way fork entry, which allows them to be securely transported from any orientation. Their heavy-duty construction assures reliable performance in extreme weather conditions and temperature ranges. Tamper-evident seals can be placed on the lid and discharge openings for added security. The units also come with an embedded RFID tag for tracking.
