Corporate Express Document & Print Management (CEDPM) has launched HarvestMark, a solution that instantly traces fresh produce via the Web or cell phone from the home or store all the way back to the specific ranch, field, and date on which it was picked. Partnering with YottaMark, CEDPM's HarvestMark is designed to give consumers confidence in, and information about, the safety of their food. HarvestMark offers several key features. Its unit-level traceability provides timely, accurate, and relevant information to consumers. Products are uniquely identified through the use of tiny encrypted security marks printed on clamshell labels. The solution uses low-cost printed bar codes and has no impact on picker productivity.

Surveys are also used to collect product quality data from end consumers. The aggregated results are correlated with harvest and supply chain information to provide growers and brand owners with valuable insight into their business.
