Atlantic Environmental Solutions Inc. Announces Several New Hires

December 6, 2017

HOBOKEN, N.J., Nov. 29, 2017 - Atlantic Environmental Solutions Inc. (AESI) has bolstered its professional team with the addition of four new staff members. The latest appointments bring the total number of new hires at AESI to nine within the last nine months, underscoring a period of sustained growth for the Hoboken, N.J.-based full-service environmental consulting firm.

AESI's newest hires include Richard Cerbone, P.G., senior manager, who brings more than 35 years of direct experience in all facets of industrial property remediation to his new role. Lauren Zysling has stepped on board as a project manager, with a background that includes more than 10 years of experience working on soil and ground water investigations in New Jersey. Joining AESI as staff environmental scientists are Rebeca Garofalo, whose background is performing environmental impact and risk assessments; and Meaghan DeCorso, a former AESI summer intern who returned to the company full-time.

These key hires were preceded by the addition of Douglas Auld P.G., senior manager; Robert Lemanowicz, project manager; Cinthia Naveendra and Shane DeAugustinis, staff environmental scientists; and Valda Aikens, administrative assistant.

A growing number of commercial/industrial real estate transactions in the New Jersey/New York marketplace is fueling demand for firms that specialize in complex environmental laws and regulations, said Michael Novak, AESI president. Since its inception, AESI has handled more than 5,000 projects at industrial and commercial properties, offering environmental due diligence; soil and groundwater investigations and remediation; asbestos and wetlands surveys and related services.

"Over the last few years, there has been substantial demand for industrial properties, along with a high turnover of these assets," he said. "Internet shopping, the deepening of the Panama Canal and the raising of the Bayonne Bridge have created a demand for more warehouses and logistics facilities, increasing the need for AESI's expertise and capabilities. To meet this demand, we are steadily increasing our staff with high level, experienced problem-solvers."

Bringing aboard new team members is a significant step in the continued growth of AESI, noted Novak. He expects to fill two additional positions in the coming months. "2017 is proving to be a banner year for our firm. These new hires provide us with the depth and resources necessary to deliver the highest quality and expertise to new and existing clients," he said.
